04 Feb 2008, Arrive in Lhasa
Accommodation: Gorkha Hotel or Similar if late booking
Your Tibetan English-speaking tour guide will meet you at Gonggar Airport and greet you with a white scarf (called kada) in a Tibetan traditional way. Then transfer you to your hotel in Lhasa (about 100km 's driving). Upon arrival, just take rest for high altitude acclimatization.
05 Feb 2008, Dancing Ceremony in Tsupu Monastery

Our wonderful Tibetan New Year Festival tour starts from
Tsupu Monastery, the home monastery of Gagyu Order. This day there will be an important dancing ceremony at Tsupu Monastery for driving off evil spirits before the Tibetan New Year.

In the morning, we'll visit the spiritual center of Tibetan Buddhism -
Jokhang Temple and the grand Potala Palace, the symbol of Tibetan people's wisdom and power..
Later in the afternoon, we'll get to a local Tibetan family to see how they prepare for their new year festival.

Self-exploration at the Barkhor Street and the old town to experience the Tibetan New Year Festival, one of the most important festivals in Tibet. Today you will see the coloful prayer flags everywhere and local people in their traditional clothes.
