Timing Adjustments on Trains to Lhasa starting from April 1, 2009
The following timing adjustments have been made on the trains to and from Lhasa since April 1.
Beijing-Lhasa Train: the arrival time is adjusted to 18:38 from previous 20:00, about 1 hour and 22 minutes earlier.
The train between Lhasa and Beijing still runs every day and the trains between Lhasa and other places runs every other day, no change on this part.
Starting from 00:00 of April 1, departure time of the train from Chengdu to Lhasa is changed to 20:36 from 20:59 and the arrival time to 16:10 from 17:21, about 1 hour and 11 minutes earlier; and the train from Lhasa to Chengdu will depart at 10:45 instead of the previous 11:15 and arrive at 07:51.
The ordinary train of N917/8 from Lhasa to Xi’ning is changed to K9801/2 speedy train which will depart at 12:00 instead of the previous 11:20, the same as that from Lhasa to Lanzhou. The arrival time is 12:30 to Xi’ning, about 46 minutes later than before and 15:06 to Lanzhou, about 21 earlier. There is no change to the timing of the train from Xi’ning to Lhasa but for that from Lanzhou to Lhasa, the departure time is adjusted to 17:45, 30 minutes later than before.
There are minor changes to the timing of other trains to and from Lhasa.
