"Thank you for arranging such a great tour. Everything went as planned..very professional. I especially liked the guide, Sonam Tshering. He did everything possible to ensure I had a good tour. He was young, energenic, spoke excellent English, and knew Tibet and it's history well. The drivers were excellent and the vechicles were also in excellent condition. The accommodations were better than I excpected in places like Shigatse, Gyantse, and Lhasa. I also want to thank you for arranging the itinerary, the flights, and the hotel arrangements in Bejing. "Yes... we're back from our Tibet holiday. It had been wonderful! All the accomodation were great, especially Dhood Gu and the one in Shigatse. We upgraded to stay at the Rongbuk Hotel (instead of the Monastery) at the last minute cus we were told that things were pretty runned down at the monastery..
Our tour guide Youdon is very knowledgeable with the history and culture of Tibet, especially with the monasteries. She was also very easy-going and is able to communicate very well with all the monks and locals. She was also very quick to realise we were very much into photography and very often managed to point out good photo opporunities. We also managed to take many good pictures with the local children! It was very fun distributing sweets to them!
Our driver was changed from the second day of the tour. Sonam was extremely experienced... he's very fast but extremely skillful. we feel very safe in the Land Cruiser. The 4WD was superb!!! Definitely in good condition and Sonam was even able to 'repair' the tyres after a bumpy ride to Rongbuk! We are also very happy with his patience as we made numerous stops along the journey to take pictures.
All in all... Dave and I are extremely satisfied with the 10day tour in Tibet. Your Lhasa counterpart Doris had been very helpful as well. Gave us alot of good advice and brought us two oxygen canisters before we left for EBC... but we're lucky we did not have to use it:)
Finally, I would really want to thank you for making all the arrangements for us! You were very prompt and efficient with all your emails and that made us feel more assured since we're in Shangahi and not able to go to the agency personally.
Thanks Sherry!!!! We really enjoyed this trip very much... couldn't stop talking about Tibet to all our family and friends when we got back.
