Tibet Valley Tour: Lhasa-Terdom-Reting
This tour will lead us to some beautiful valleys in Tibet. You can visit the original villages and
unsophisticated people there. Due to limited local conditions, the lodging in the valleys are mainly guesthouses.
It is an adventural culture exploration tour in Tibet and available all year round.
Itinerary (07 - 08 days)
Day 01 Arrive in Lhasa
The Tibetan tour guide will meet and transfer you to your hotel in Lhasa. Upon arrival, rest for high altitute acclimatization.
Day 02-03 Sightsee in Lhasa
Visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street and a local Tibetan family on the first-day sightseeing in Lhasa and other highlights of Lhasa - Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery on the following day.
Day 04 Lhasa - Yepa (Drak) - Gandan Monastery - Terdom
In the morning, we'll first drive to the beautiful Yepa Valley for the Zayeba Caves which were once selected by many famous Lamas for meditation. And then we'll drive forward to Gandan Monastery to enjoy its extremely delicate murals and sculputures. After the visit to Gandan, we'll get to Terdom (Didrum) Hot Spring.
Day 05 Terdom - Reting Monastery
Get up early in the morning and visit the Drigung Till Monastery. Then we'll drive about 150km in the valley to Reting Monastery. It is a historically important Bhuddhist monastery in central Tibet.
Day 06 Reting Monastery - Lhasa
Drive about 200km back to Lhasa. Upon arrival, relax and self-explore the old city..
Optional: we can also drive from Reting Monastery to the beautiful Namtso Lake on this day.
Day 07 Leave Lhasa
We'll transfer you to the airport and help you board the plane to your next destination. Your wonderful Tibet tour ends.
If you take the optional Namtso Lake tour on the previous day, this day we'll drive back to Lhasa and leave on Day 08.
