As a sacred mountain in all three religions of Buddhism, Hinduism and the local Bon faith in Tibet, Mount Kailash is
recognized as the most sacred mountain in Asia. The holy Lake of Manasarovar is close to Mt. Kailash and usually included
in the tour. As Mt. Kailash is located in the remote Ali region in western Tibet where the road and lodging condition
is quiet limited, this Kailash kora tour requires some courage and determination. The Kailash kora trek itself covers
about 53km and can be completed within 3 days. It is available from Mid April to October.

Day 01 Arrive in Lhasa
Comfortable private transfer to your hotel in Lhasa and upon arrival, just take rest for for high altitude acclimatization.
Day 02 - 03 Sightsee in Lhasa
Our two-day sightseeing in Lhasa will cover Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street, Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery as well as a visit to a local Tibetan family.
Day 04 Lhasa - Gyantse
In the fresh morning air, we'll drive 270km to Gyantse crossing the Karo La Pass (5010m) and the Khamba La Pass (4800m) with a beautiful panorama of the Yamdrok Yumtso Lake on the way. Upon arrival, visit Pelkhor Monastery and its superb Kumbu Stupa, a stunning architectural wonder in Tibet.
Day 05 Gyantse - Shigatse
Drive 90km well-paved road to Shigatse, the second largest city in Tibet. We'll visit the foremost attraction there - Tashilumpo Monastery, and then wander around the old town of Shigatse for its nicely decorated Tibetan houses, interesting market and bazaar...
Day 06 Shigatse - Sangsang
Drive about 280km to Sangsang. From this day on, we will be on the road to the Western Tibet - Ali. On the way, you can always enjoy the stunning beautiful snow-capped Himalayan Range.
Day 07 Sangsang - Saga
Drive 180km to Saga.
Day 08 Saga - Paryang
Drive 235Km to Paryang.
Day 09 Paryang - Mansarovar
Drive 280Km to Mansarovar. stay at Hor Guesthouse near the northern shore of Mansarovar.
Day 10 Lake Mansarovar
Start a morning pleasant drive around Lake Mansarovar (30km) reaching
Chiu Gompa, one of the ancient location where Hinduism's Pooja was
practiced. After arrival, we will try a holy bath there.
Day 11 Manasarovar - Darchen
Drive to Darchen (Base Camp of Mt. Kailash). Our guide will arrange Yaks and Yak helpers for our next 3 days Kora around Mt. Kailash, and in the mean time all group members will have a last chance for their own physical evaluation. For those not feeling so comfortable can choose to stay in Tarchen or Chiu Gompa near Lake Mansarovar, while others can prepare for the next 3 days trek around Mt. Kailash
Kailash Trekking (Kailash Kora / circumbulation / Parikrama) in 3 days
Day 12 Manasarovar Base - Diraphuk via Tarboche (22km, 5-6hrs)
After breakfast drive to Tarboch (8km) and start trek (Mt. Kailash Kora) to Diraphuk (5000m) passing the first prostation point, Tarboche Flag Pole, the auspicious gateway and the sky burial ground. O/n at camp from where you can have superb views of Mt. Kailash.
Day 13 Diraphuk - Zuthulpuk via Dolmala pass (5610m) (15km, 5-6hrs)
Continue Kailsh Trekking to Zuthulphuk via Dolmala Pass (also called Dromala Pass). This is the day all pilgrims talk about, the most difficult journey through the Yatra. We'll slowly climb over Dolmala Pass (5610m) and descend down to Zuthulphuk, enroute pass through Gaurikund.
Day 14 Zuthulpuk - Darchen - Lake Manasarovar
Trek about only 6km down to the point where our landcruiser will be waiting for us and drive to Darchen (10km). Our wonderful Kailsh trekking ends. In the afternoon we'll get to Lake Manasarovar.
Day 15-16 Mansarovar - Paryang - Saga
Drive the same way back to Paryang and Saga within this two days.
Day 17 Saga - Nyalam
Drive 232km to Nyalam via the La Lung (5124m), Pelkutso Lake and Mt. Shishapangma (8012m).
Day 18 Nyalam - Kodari border - Kathmandu
Today we'll drive you to the Friendship Bridge (Kodari) where you are supposed to go through the China Customs. We can help you arrange the transfer to Kathmandu if necessary. Your wonderful Tibet Kailash Kora/Yatra Tour ends.
